Margaret
Margaret is a second-year student at UNC Chapel Hill's School of Information and Library Science. For her undergrad, she majored in History and French at Furman University in Greenville, SC. Her advice to college students would be to major in something you enjoy and to choose classes based on the professor - a great professor can make almost any subject interesting!
Christina
Christina is a second year student at UNC Chapel Hills SILS program. Her undergrad degree is from Portland State University where she majored in Psychology and Minored in Sociology. Her advice for college students is to not worry about taking longer than others to choose a major, or to even finish a degree. It is important to do things at your own pace allowing you to explore your options and find that thing you love and want to craft into a career.
Amanda
Amanda is a sophomore at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She hopes to graduate with a major in Elementary Education with a concentration in Language in Literature. Her advice for college students is to do what you love, instead of what others want you to do. Classes are much more interesting and even easier when you are genuinely interested in the material that is being taught!
EMILY
Emily is a second-year student in the School of Information and Library Science at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She attended Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina as an undergraduate and majored in Interpersonal Communication with a minor in Psychology. While at Meredith, she also completed graduate coursework in the Masters of Arts in Teaching program. A piece of advice that she has for college students is not to be afraid to get involved on campus. Being involved will make your college years more fun while developing skills that will help you in future careers!
